It began over breakfast one morning. After browsing the newspapers and magazines at the table, there was a simple consensus: too many good stories go untold and unread by the American people. By the second cup of coffee we were tired of waiting for those stories to tell themselves, by the third cup a publishing company was born.

Our goal is to bring to light the facts that are often left in the dark. We promise to labor tirelessly to publish these facts and stories in interesting, artful works. We promise to seek out silenced voices and provide them with a megaphone. We promise to work compassionately with the stories and diligently with the storytellers.

Ipanema Literatures is currently working on a book which will detail the history of Indian gaming through a series of interviews with the Native American leaders who have helped to create and shape the industry.
